I bought these Monster beats over a year ago, they were snug at first. Then they loosened up after a couple of months, if you're worried about them being too tight. The lead is perfect for me, but you can detach it if you don't like it. They are very sturdy and I have seen several DJ's using them. I broke mine recently cause I kicked them very hard a couple of times. After looking at the headphones in this price range, these are definetly the best. There is nothing bad I have to say about them, you will not be disappointed.

These really are a solid pair of 'cans'. For me they have incredibly clarified sound and warm bass which feels amazing at times. My only problem with Monster beats solo is that it's so obvious to the rest of the world what you are listening to if you have these full blast, if you take them off they are practically speakers! This is reduced significantly whilst on your ears but still audible to somebody sat with 5 yards or maybe even more. Apart from that I love mine (:
