*THIS IS AN 80 PEOPLE CAPACITY VENUE, FIRST COME FIRST SERVE*

DOUBLEDGESCISSOR presents at a night at "THIS IS DIY" at The Biscuit
Factory, Drummond Road, Bermondsey, SE16 4DG

so... the first half of the year is done ... its time to put on a
fucking show ... we've been given this amazing opportunity to put a
show on at the self built venue in Bermondsey ...

GUM TAKES TOOTH - this is gonna be their fourth visit to one of our
shows, a last minute addition to the line up ... by some kind of
strange circumstances, wrong dates, confusion, hectic schedules and
what not (we originally asked them to do a different night) ... we've
managed to get them down to the wonderful venue in Bermondsey !! the
first time they're playing for us a 3 piece ... always got love for
these guys, always pushing things and amazing me, best shit right here
with GTT ... yes yes and a yes with thumbs up and a big goofy grin ..

CEMENTIMENTAL - circuit bending / harsh noise legend ... been
following this guy on line for a fair while now, sifting through his
back catalogue via his bandcamp page, checking old and new clips on
youtube, seen him in the flesh also (plus a rather stoned quick chat
..) ... so dam right we need him to play a night for us... elevating
spirits with filthy noise in that way, how dare he! ... from gameboys
to wire brushes, self built noise gadgets and lord knows what else ...
who knows what he's gonna roll up with... whatever, its gonna put you
right!!!

ONE MAN TEAM DANCE - these guys played for us before, we had to have
em back ... went on first last time but deserved to be on later in the
line up, ok fixed that!! ... also wielding some circuit bent devices
... the type of guitar some annoying kid might brandish, but slammed
through a big muff (ew urghh) ... does a better job than most limp
wristed bands do!! casio crunch punk and all the love you can hold in
your left hand while your right hand is smacking you in the face from
all the enjoyment ... awesome lads, great noise... very excited!!

all events happening ... certainly something for everyone... its an
awesome project set up by some very positive forward thinking
people... i'm certainly hoping that this is not just a one off and
although the location isn't permanent, the energy and the spirit for
making this thing possible is ... a big well done to all the folks
involved ... from the builders, to the running and organising to the
bar and door workers... seriously good folk!!
