I've started going to more and more comedy shows as I get older. The problem is there aren't too many good ones and lots of terrible, shameful ones.

I live in Manchester and as I look at the listings the only half-decent show coming up is Todd Barry at Deaf Institute (interesting choice...)

Where can one go to find out about good comedy as well as good music?
