I'm listening to Inspiral Carpets debut and it got me thinking about what sort of criteria a critic might use to describe a band as such. Now, if I were writing for Webster's I'd say, "any band with a 60s garage rock sound, use a Hammond organ extensively, and believe the closest a person can get to God is through the use of LSD."
