PODCAST: Bleep.com x Sonic Router #016
There’s only so many ways you can write “I’ve made another podcast for Bleep.com… yeah, them dudes that we at Sonic Router has been providing podcasts for since October 2012?, so please forgive me if this feels like déjà vu. It looks good though, in the new Bleep.com format I mean. The integration and little drop down track previews you get when you click ‘view full tracklist’ are a real neat touch.
This one was made in part to celebrate the release of the Torus EP, hence why he’s the cover shot, and so it features a couple of tracks from him, beats from Soosh, Shlohmo and Darkhouse Fam, some weirdo music from Qluster, Airhead and Zomby and dancefloor stuff from people like Samoyed, Gerry Read, Conforce and XI (remixing Bwana).
Oh, and like the one liner that accompanies it says: “Oli Marlow marks the inception of his record label by over compressing his vocals on Bleep Podcast #49”. I wrote that and I stand by it. There’s also a couple of really strange transitions that I’m oddly quite proud of.
