Having slept on it - I think it is better to compile the list from the songs that you send me. So let's give this a try.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:

I have put-together a shortlist of tracks that were first released in the year 1988.

Use this thread to suggest songs to add to this master list. At some point in the next couple of days I will draw a line under the discussion, and publish a final list.

From this list, you need to think about which tracks will be the most popular amongst the other DiS quizzers, and submit a top 20 list, in order, from 1 to 20. (With 1 being the most popular track of the year). Only songs that are on the final list should be considered.

I will compile all of your lists into a Top 20, and then, in about a weeks time, I'll publish the results, in a top 20 countdown.

Points will be awarded as follows:
1pt if you have chosen a song in your Top 20 that also appears in the accumulative Top 20.
3pts if you have chosen a song in your Top 20 that appears in the same position in the accumulative Top 20.
Bonus 1pt if you successfully predict the Number 3 placed song.
Bonus 2pts if you successfully predict the Number 2 placed song.
Bonus 3pts if you successfully predict the Number 1 placed song.

The aim of the game, obviously, is to try and predict what the most popular tracks will be, and earn points if you are correct.
