pentargo's post in Sean's draconian anti-phone crusade thread has got me thinking about the last time I had a fun, bawdy, jump-around-and-into-other-revellers experience at a gig. and other such times at other gigs in the past.

most recently: No Age at ATP in December was a blast. maybe the most fun pit I've been in.

most painful: I got a spare day ticket for Download when RATM headlined the Saturday a year or two ago. that crowd had anger issues. ouch.

most memorable: Clutch at Download '06. hottest weekend of the year. the second stage tent was whipped up into a bit of a dust storm. fierce but good natured beardy blues metal throw down. 'mazing.
