The same thing happened with Is a Woman when that was released. It totally confused me when I first heard but slowly crept under my skin and I just couldn't shake it. The new one was a similiar experience. It sounded like it would take a bit of work upon first listen but that thing just reveals itself over and over and now I find it mesmerizing and keep flocking to it for comfort. It's so nice to hear such subtle, unhurried, brave, unflashy yet emotionally rich music being created. I liken Lambchop to Tree of Life the movie. 95% of the world's population find it boring but those that connect with it have a unique experience you can't get anywhere else.
