Didn't find that easy to write grammatically...anyway, so yeah essentially an artist that has released (at least) two albums; including one you adore and one you despise (or less severe variants). Was hoping to provoke discussion with this, i.e people explaining why, rather than 'here's my two see you later' as sometimes happens on DiS (guilty).

It has to be of Montreal for me...the high point is easy, Hissing Fauna, though I do share the opinion that Coquelicot is fantastic. Every song has its own intriguing, inventive hook, be it in jittery indie pop or fuzzy funk, with some bloke (?) pouring his heart out in the background. The exception is The Past is a Grotesque Animal...the clear standout, however.

By contrast, there are a number of low points (more recently), but 2012 heralded new lows for the band. Paralytic Stalks is a horrible mess of a record. I will acceptance its not all unlistenable tosh, but the bright spots like Dour Percentage just tease listeners into perservering...then you get Exorcism Breeding Knife.
