So GBV confirmed for ATP and Primavera then promptly pulled out. Looks unlikely they will ever come to Europe again. Drat!

However, on April 14th, me and three other avid fans of the band will be undertaking a mammoth project, as a means of consolation. Well, actually just as a means of having a freakin' great time.

With the help of a couple of guest acts (at 3:45pm and 6:15pm), we'll be playing over 100 Guided By Voices songs live at The Windmill in Brixton. An acoustic set (4:30pm), a set of lesser known rockers (7pm), a karaoke set (with guest singers from the crowd - 8:30pm) and a greatest hits set (10pm).

Entry for this is just £5 advance (£6 on the door) and includes the legendary Windmill free BBQ (5:30pm), which is a full meal you'd pay more than £6 for in a pub on its own!

Without wanting to blow my own trumpet, this is going to be flippin' awesome - we've really put a lot of work into this, and are actually pretty good - if you are a fan of the band, you'd be mad to miss it. GBV!! GBV!!
