I'm not saying there isn't, objectively, enough to like (there's probably loads) but I just seem to be having an old man year with only a handful of records grabbing my interest and even fewer holding it. By December I'll still be agonising over an end of year list like any geek of course.

However, is it a blessing in disguise? I have switched focus onto a few more electronic genres, further looked into neo-classical, picked up on more acts from yesteryear. How many others were driven to this by a poor year and now look back more than ahead? Or did it pass? I was just wondering.
