A bomb goes off, destroying the mainstream music business as we know it at 11am on Tuesday morning. All the artists and nominees are gone, as are the people who'd pick up the prize for them. DiS is asked to step in and put together an award show at the 11th hour to celebrate British (and International) music over the past 12-14months and to give the nation a clue what our future might hold. The nation is hoping to know what has been lurking beneath the mega-sellers for all this time, the sorts of things they might one day have bought an album by if the act had been on a tv ad or a film soundtrack...

In a panic I turn to you guys to insert some living nominees for each category and to invent some new awards (A best international sax solo tussle between M83 and Gaga? Silliest lyric of the year? Dubstep remix of the year? Artist who could have been James Blake if the stars had aligned? Most ill-judged career decision? Tip for 2013?). And who should present the awards?
