I didn't know what Pinkerton was until I came on these boards. But everybody here always talks about it as this incredible album, and it's got amazing 10/10 reviews on Pitchfork etc. So I thought I should probably listen to it, even though Weezer have never drawn me in with the songs that I have heard - Buddy Holly, Has Pipe.

But, I've tried it a good few times and it's just not doing anything for me in the slightest. Why does everybody like it so much? I'm not trolling, just genuinely interested. Maybe you had to be there in your bedroom listening to it as a young angsty teenager or something, and it doesn't work as well if you're in your mid-twenties and not really into emo pop-punk music?
