Dingus Khan are doing a gig this friday. they are playing with Sissy & the Blisters, Hawk Eyes & Krakatoa.
Do you want to come?
It's at the Bull & Gate in Kentish Town.
HERE IS THE BLURB BIT ///
DINGUS KHAN are eight characters from Manningtree in Essex. They feature three drummers, three bass players and sometimes one baseball bat hitting a beer keg. With whistling. And choreography. Sounds fun enough already, but when they throw out a bucketload of dementedly catchy tunes wrapped up in a turbocharged blast of progpunk guitars you’ll find yourself offering them a single deal on the spot. Which is exactly what Label Fandango did, and that single is called ‘Knifey Spoony’ and will be out on March 5th 2012.
SISSY & THE BLISTERS are four skinny-hipped roustabouts from Guildford who have been sizzling the pointy shoes of People In The Know with their distortopop palaver (as evinced by current fierce panda ‘Let Her Go’ EP) which aims for the same melodic vein as The Vaccines while (high)kicking up a storm supporting the likes of the Jim Jones Revue.
HAWK EYES are four metal-licking riff tigers from Leeds who served their time in the heroically punishing Chickenhawk. Now they have altered their name, nurtured their more extreme noise terrors and discovered their inner powerchord to sound not unlike a punch-up between Therapy? and Faith No More. Their current ‘Mindhammers’ EP (Brew Records) is fighting its way onto a radio station near you and early 2012 will see a debut album release on fierce panda.
Krakatoa are four leather jacketed jumpstarts who somehow contrive to swerve between Hamburg-flavoured wig-outs and terrifically rowdy guitar-gripping Clash-esque stomps. See if you can choose a favourite between the two and live the punkoid dream by catching ‘Invictus’ over at their MySpace right now.
