A message to metal fans
Singing about pain, ritual sacrifice and wanting to murder everyone is great. Sometimes. But why not for a change write a heavy screamy song about Tesco's delicious custard Danishes, and other more quaint and kitsch things, like a thrashing power-chord homage to Handy Andy from Changing Rooms? It's a genre which has been hampered by cliche for some time now - maybe some of you will say Tool have done a lot to reinvent it, but they've not yet written any concept albums about the glory of Isthmian League football or daytime telly.
