Been listening to Turn on the Bright Lights a lot this week, for the first time pretty much since I first got into it (about 2004).

I'm impressed with how good it still sounds, apart from this song.

The one I always used to skip was 'Say Hello To The Angels' but I can take or leave that one now.

But 'Roland' is so so bad. As a 15 year old I used to think it was very good, and I can see why. It's like it's written by a kid.

It's a shame they didn't split up after the second album because I'd like to remember them as a great band. Last I heard of them they'd sacked their bassist, which means there's pretty much no point in them existing any more.
