come at me with great 'lo-fi' tunage
simple premise, really. if it has an unorthodox mix, if it's noisey, sloppy, cluttered, whatever.
I mean, I'm sure most of these mixes were pored over and deliberate, and some are actually very nicely done, but there are instances of ambience, tape hiss, distortion where you might not expect it, mic bleed, tinny, scratchy, undesirable or unfashionable sounds...yeah.
if it's full, excessively punchy, bright, clean, orthodox, impeccably recorded, then it's not welcome.
so fire away. maybe somebody could make a Spotify playlist. that's a thing, right?
