Well this has been up for a week, but I’ve only just discovered it when I popped over to check if the new website had been updated.

What do people think of this version of the song? The live recording is one of my favourite songs (hence the girly indie username), but I think this almost verges on Mangum parody at times, sacrificing the emotional & unsettling tones of the song for pointless vocal shifts.

So sure, this is ‘Unfinished Version 2’, but I’m wondering why after so long that Jeff would want to bring unfinished material of post-ITAOTS material to us rather than presenting it how it was intended, given that this appears to be the version on the Little Birds 7” included in the boxset. I still think it’s a good song, but maybe a waste of a great one.

Essentially, I’m getting cold feet about the comeback. How y’all feeling? Prefer this to the previous recording?
