Headlining this 3rd showcase will be the excellent Bonfire Nights. The Australian 'psych-infused ambient pop' trio have been making a big noise since recently moving to the east-end, and they're due to hit the road next month on tour with Sons & Daughters.
“Boy meets girl meets ‘70s folk-pop meets champagne shoegaze - ****”
- Alice Rezende, Rave Magazine, Bonfire Nights EP Review
“Rocking tunes, in the vein of White Stripes and BRMC. Love the vocal harmonies…”
- Dom Alessio, Triple J
“The songs are catchy, with great boy-girl harmonies and a real Raveonettes vibe…”
- Live Review, Faster Louder
SHADES
http://www.myspace.com/shadesuk
Hailing from central Birmingham, Shades craft a unique sound sitting somewhere in the echelons of pop but nurturing a deep, dark, trancelike psychedelia. Echoes of Radiohead, Foals, Bloc Party, and Aphex Twin provide a subtle hint as to where some of their influences and musical affinities lie.

‘With gliding synths and the kind of talented guitar melodies that have a magical appeal, guaranteed to lure you in like the Wicked Witch’ – The Recommender
Formed in mid 2010, London-based Waylayers have set about crafting stunning, atmospheric pop, fusing elements of electronica and indie rock with ethereal vocal lines and hooks. Championed by Steve Lamacq and featuring on Kitsune's 10th Maison compilation, these guys are definitely ones to watch!
DANNY PAPE
http://dannypape.bandcamp.com/
Winner of the Yamaha Make It Break It and EMI Publishing Most Promising Artist awards in 2010, Danny is a very exciting new artist. Compared at times to Paul Weller, The Coral, Turin Brakes and Parachutes-era Coldplay, Danny's songs display craft and wordplay beyond his years.
His demo 'Home EP', recorded at EMI Evelyn Yard studios, is available for free download.
£3 Entry (FREE FOR DiSERS), Doors 8pm, MK:DJs 'til late, GET INVOLVED!!!
