I've been feeling nostalgic, apparently, for some really good US emo rock or whatever we're allowed to call the genre for a while now, and I knocked together a hasty playlist for a friend of mine who's a big Saves The Day fan but never really got in to the rest of their contemporaries, as a bit of a genre primer before he goes to see them in November:

I'm hankering after some more suggestions, if anyone has some? And, do you know if there are contemporary bands who you'd rate alongside these guys that are playing good, noisy, melodic rock music?
