We've crafted a line up who pay homage to afro beats and rhythms in their music making - Afro Origins. And, as a new feature to the night and leading on from previous themed nights, we're working with theatre company Nitro with the vision of bringing drama to club nights.
Headlining will be Eglo Records’ rising star FUNKINEVEN. West London soundboy Funkineven has been making beats for the best part of 2 decades, infusing his grooves with the his own take on classic electro, acid, afro, soul, hip-hop, bass and whatever other genres he pleases, as he creates hybrid dancefloor music for the 21st century.

Performing tracks from their debut album ‘Galaxies Not Ghettos’ and fresh from Glastonbury and The Secret Garden Party are UNITED VIBRATIONS. With riotously energetic concoctions of ska, afro, funk, jazz and (just for good measure) punk, United Vibrations deliver a raucous live show to match their boisterous sound. Now chummy with the like of Giles Peterson, United Vibrations return to Deep Down for a second time after they literally smashed it last year.

We're honoured to include one of London’s most respected underground and Afrobeat DJs RITA RAY. At the heart of what Rita does is playing records that turn people on to new, fearsome and dance driven afro and latin sounds they’ve never previously heard. This passion goes back at least as far as the legendary nights at the Mambo Inn; the Brixton club where Rita and Max Reinhardt held a residence from 1989 to 1997.

And bringing Deep Down…home with a mix of afro influenced house, bass and techno will be Batty Bass and Deep Down…resident DEBOA. Deboa has been resident at London’s notorious club Batty Bass and of course Deep Down for the last two years and whether spinning at festivals throughout the UK or London’s fiercest underground parties Deboa never fails to tear up the dancefloor with his unque blend of house, bass and techno.

PLUS London’s powerful urban poet, wordsmith and performer Dean Atta will lead the narrative to the night. Described as ‘the Gil Scot Heron of his generation,’ Dean will perform a PA as well as compare on the night.
