Many British bands, as soon as they've got together, even before they've started gigging etc., start getting photographs taken of themselves etc.

I know image is very important in pop music, but I think our bands are so much more obsessed with posturing and conveying their look than our yank friends.

If I think of the small bands I know of at the moment that people I know are in, I can think of their crappy attempts at photoshoots sooner than I can remember any of their music.
