So, despite thinking I wouldn't be that arsed, I've been listening to 'Suck It And See' loads and think it's a pretty great record. It's sparked a more surprising chain of events though, which resulted today in me realising how great 'Humbug' actually is. I remember some of the vitriol it inspired on here when it came out, but on the whole it sounds pretty great now, a nice little earworm of a record with loads of interesting stuff going on behind the noise, and a vast step up from their first two albums. In fact, I'd say they're one of the only bands from that '00's indie thread' that's actively got better with every album. Thoughts? I know they're not one of the most loved bands here...
