The Jesus Loves Heroin Band
(Garage/Psych/Country/Surf)
Their last show in Sheffield before they go on their European Tour, the band release their 2nd album 'Revenge'.
Loveable surf tinged garage misfits. Organ drenched, raucous and fuzzy. Like Gram Parsons fighting The Seeds with knives while Ennio Morricone attempts to split them up yelling ‘It’s not worth it lads!’ (or the Italian equivalent). Extremely recommended.
Transporting us back to the heyday of 60's garage and the badlands of rock and roll The Jesus Loves Heroin Band emerge from the gloom. Hiding a Dylanesque drawl under headily distorted guitars it's a sound that belongs in dive bars and gun toting Tarantino films. Interspersing county tinged psychedelica like 'Don't Wait For Me' with brooding instrumental interludes they slowly captivate the crowd. Jesus Loves… are a band worthy of your affections.

Pete David & The Payroll Union
(Americana)
Leading the way in Sheffield's Americana scene Pete David & The Payroll Union will be playing songs from their new E.P.
Born in January of the year Two Thousand and Nine, Pete David and his Payroll Union have worn out their fingers in pursuit of that dreaded macabre sound which can only be dredged from the depths of the river Don. In the summer of the year Two Thousand and Ten, they graced the stage of Lovebox festival and aimed their rifles upon the good people of Islington for the award-winning Magpies Nest folk night. Truly, a wreckage of great proportions was left in their tracks, and from their caloused hands they bore the recordings of resilient backwoodsmen. Behold! 2011 will reap upon you the rewards of their endeavours. For it is to be said that these brave men were Underfed and Underpaid.
