Did they lose the plot on their second record?

I never really gave it much of a listen due to not being too into the lead single and being told they had "embraced a more electronic sound" and let the others write on it (which never works as seen with the Strokes' new one).

Their debut is very good. Apparently they're writing a new one. Hopefully it will be more like the first.
