First band i ever heard of doing it were REM who ended the 89 Green tour by doing all of Murmur then a break, then all of Green, then an encore of hits. It wasn't a 'thing' then though. Anyone ever do it further back than that? I wonder who started in in the 00's era. Maybe it was Suede who did 5 albums over 5 nights in '03.
