...when you started getting into music they were releasing really crap stuff and you couldn't work out why they were getting any press coverage at all:

I suppose kids nowadays won't have this problem, because it's so easy to look stuff up on The Internet and what have you so investigating a band's back catalogue to see if they were always a bit shit or not is really easy (and completely free).

So then:

a) Who cares?

b) Which bands did you accidently think were naff and shit when you were smaller and have you subsequently reappraised them?

c) Are there any bands who, upon reading this incredible thread, think deserve another look?

d) This is the kind of shit thread sean starts, isn't it?
