Basically I was wondering if anyone was similar to me in having a persistent weakness in regards to music. It could be anything ranging from the inclusion of an instrument that guarantees you will likea song/album, or something like the name of a band that attracts you to them against all better logic.

For me, it is colourful album covers, usually abstract and well constrcuted. It must make me seem the most dim-witted of music fans, but I regularly assume that covers of this style show an artist is on a similar wavelength to me, and my consistent/foolish search for aesthetic quality in music will be satisfied.
