CRYSTAL STILTS
Fortuna POP!’s latest signings Crystal Stilts release their new album In Love with Oblivion in the UK on 11 April 2011. This follow-up to their much loved and critically acclaimed debut Alight Of Night continues their foray into spooky 60s psych and 80s dream pop but this time with more flourishes of melody and a bigger, more expansive sound. The album will be preceded by a single from the album “Through The Floor” in March. Based in Brooklyn (via Florida), Crystal Stilts emerged alongside the active local post-punk indie scene in 2008 whilst forging their own unique path. They built up a heady following stateside and by the time Alight of Night was released in the UK, a flood of accolades followed. In Love With Oblivion sets the bar even higher as they reach dizzying, fuzzy heights as first class purveyors of haunting, atmospheric post-punk pop.
"Weirdly life-affirming and very fun, Crystal Stilts are moody-sounding fuckers who make fabulous stripped-down, C86-like garage-pop." (Pitchfork)

COMET GAIN
Formed in London, England, in 1993, and influenced as much by the riot-grrrl movement as by the music of the girl-group era, Comet Gain mix punk-pop aesthetics with a more abstract northern soul sensibility. Originally signed to Wiiija Records, the original line-up split in 1997, songwriter David Feck assembling an all-new roster for the band's subsequent albums ‘Tigertown Pictures’, ‘Réalistes’ and ‘City Fallen Leaves’, released on Kill Rock Stars in the US and Track & Field in Europe. Magical, passionate and emotional, inspired in equal parts by The Go-Betweens, Godard, Irma Thomas, dance parties, Dexy's Midnight Runners, falling in love, mod and hootenannies, Comet Gain are one of the finest British bands of our time. Their new album, recorded with Edwyn Collins and Ryan Jarman of The Cribs, will be released on Fortuna POP! in 2011.
“Raw and vital records steeped in leader David Christian's actual, angry, and true poetry and the group's raw and alive sound.” – All Music Guide

THE TAMBORINES
The Tamborines are a fuzz rock band consisting of core members Lulu Grave (Keyboards, Percussion) and Henrique Laurindo (Guitar, Vocals). They have been rapidly gaining acclaim throughout London with their mind-blowing, tripped-out live shows. Raised on a diet of underground indie, Bergman movies, and distorted guitars, The Tamborines combine their daydreaming sound with an art aesthetic that blends West Coast psychedelia with the noir of The Velvet Underground. The result is jangly guitar pop and hypnotic hazy retro organ with almost unsettling undertones. They recently released their debut album, following on from their critically acclaimed Sally O’Gannon and 31st Floor singles.
“Insanely catchy chorus + INCREDIBLY LOUD GUITARS = perfect pop music” (NME)
