Cam Deas is an English, predominantly 12 string, guitarist born in London and currently residing in Sheffield. He has released a string of CDr's on various independent labels, along with a solo LP and split LP with fellow solo guitarist Spoono on Blackest Rainbow, and most recently an improvised 7" on The Great Pop Supplement. Deas plays his guitar with such raw urgency and crisp production; it's playing that is hard to define. Deas will spend nearly 10 minutes on the opening track luring you into a quiet and beautiful world before he really unleashes the picking attack on his guitar.

C Joynes is one of the most interesting 'takoma' influenced guitarists about today. He uses traditiona blues and early rag time to explore different meldodic traditions ranging from the English folk-tune to North and West African music, elements of classical Indian music,proto-minimalist and impressionist musics from the European classical tradition. His approach is subtle and invoves unassuming experimentation while stripping back the tradition tunes to their leaness and presenting them afresh. What is left is a beguiling and gorgeous simplicty. He has recorded a live broadcast session for Andy Kershaw on BBC Radio 3, and played extensively across the UK and Ireland, sharing bills with performers including Alasdair Roberts, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Jack Rose, Sunburned Hand Of The Man, Sir Richard Bishop and Steffan Basho-Junghans.
