Looking to go to the Coachella festival next year and as it's creeping up towards January when tickets are likely to go on sale I was looking for some guidance.

Is it best to get a hotel or camp? Would be a shame to miss out on all the campsite action but taking a tent/camping gear all the way to the states is a bit of a drag. Also I imagine the heat is pretty full on! If there's any cheap, decent hotels nearby that anyone recommends that would be really helpful.

Any other tips or recommendations would be much appreciated. Cheers.
