So I'm organising my uni's graduation ball's acts and I'm all too aware than all agents know that A, we have money, and B, we have very little idea about the costs of bands. All in all, the ball's in their court if they want to rip us off and I don't doubt that they will.

I have to keep it secret apparently but basically if i'm trying to book a band of Noah and the Whale size (...not NatW) how much should we be paying. I'll email asking, they've said 'make an offer', I'll say 10k, they say more. RIP OFF?
