It's the kind of album that simply shouldn't exist in this day and age. Cinematic. It demands to be listened through from start to finish in a way I've not felt from any artist other than Tom Waits. It's the soundtrack to people moving about a city; living, loving, fucking and fighting. It sounds like December, that sadness and beauty, with lyrics that reflect the same.

'Last Christmas was black and blue, but this year is white.' And then there's 'In The New Year.' For any album to follow that with another ten tracks and not dissapoint takes some doing.

Every man, woman and child would be better off for putting it on their player and walking through the snow with it in their ears.
