Is it, just as an example, allowed to be really excited about getting Slash's promo-single in the mail? Because I am... It was one of the things that made my week this week. ûber-fantastic! I'm into a lot of things, find value in a lot of music. To me there really only are two kinds... Good and bad music. And even in the perhaps not so great music I find fragments of value. I can get enchanted by a great melody in a chewing-gum pop-song, crazed by a smoking guitar-riff, completely drawn in by a beautiful lyric, extatic over a jazz-improvisation, blown away by the life-likeness in an indie-band's output, become a complete and lifelong fan of someone who put a great bassline on one track, love being mind-boggled by music that travels in a new and unexpected direction. Etc etc etc etc etc.
