I was listening to Blur's 'Think Tank' recently and decided that it preempts TV on the Radio. Also, Brian Eno's 'Another Green World' contains all post-rock and shit like that (plus most other stuff, probably).

I'm not suggesting this makes the subsequent bands worthless - more that it's interesting to see how certain strands of music have developed, where they seem to have come from, etc.

Anyone agree/disagree? Other examples?
