Is the Pulp reunion simply catnip for idiots?
I ask this not to besmirch Pulp's recorded content, which naturally many people on here will attest to as being quite splendid. I refer instead to the advertisement I've just seen for it in the newspaper, featuring this: "They will be playing songs from all periods of their career (Yes, that means they'll be playing your favourites)".
This is just the equivalent of some horseshit romantic comedy 'feelgood' hit of the summer isn't it? Don't worry about the possibility of intrigue or chance people, these people are going to bend over and serve up exactly what you want. Satisfaction guaranteed (no money back).
I appreciate that many people will be excited to see Pulp and will want to hear all their most well-known songs, but doesn't it make you a little ill to see it advertised by Wireless Barclaycard as such?
