Pete Simonelli
...
A spoken word show from the vocalist in Enablers, the renowned San Francisco quartet with links to Swans, Neurosis and June of 44.
Its Pete's unique vocal delivery (part spoken, part shouted, always utterly compelling) and winding tales of the noir-ish underbelly of the city and its characters, that make Enablers so special.
A native Californian, Pete spent eighteen formative years in San Francisco, documenting, observing, drinking, reading, loving, betraying, working, and writing... he moved east in 2008 and now makes his home in Brooklyn, New York. This show will see Pete reading from his new book 'One Brittle Nerve' and we’re delighted to be bringing him to Manchester.
Pascal Nichols
A solo outing from the man behind the percussion of Part Wild Horses Mane On Both Sides.
"Since Chris Corsano has returned to the US... Pascal Nichols has inherited the golden drum stool as the UKs premier young improvising percussionist" - The Wire
and more to be announced.
