I finally bought it and gave it a first listen. I've been meaning to pick it up but there was some other records I wanted first. Whle listening (no real opinion on it yet) I am struck as to how quickly this album came out and sank without a trace. People we're talking about this album for 3 years in anticipation and the first seemed to leave quite a cultural impact. They were supposed to change the world again and after it dropped everyone just shrugged. I've had to remind myself constantly it was released. Did the 3 years hurt them or was it just the quality of the album? First album was great by the way so I don't want to debate that.
