An oceanic hue washes over the O2 Academy stage as Oxford quintet, Foals, take their place and steer their show through stormy seas and idyllic open waters. Blue Blood, the opener to their 2010 Mercury Prize nominated album, begins tonight's proceedings with quaint melody, quickly disrupted by crashing drums and a wall of guitar, the stage turning blood red as suddenly as a shark attack.
