I am wanting to buy a digital dictaphone. The main aim is for field recordings and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with some and can point out good/bad points and generally point me in the right direction.

Basically it needs to be:
- Mac compatible for the transfer of files
- Record into accessible formats which can be manipulated
- Pretty durable
- Not horrendously expensive
- Rather sensitive to subtler sounds
