I've been on a bit of a nostalgia trip on Spotify today, and I soon realised that the albums I was picking out were all from around the same year (I had listened to The Music - The Music, The Coral - The Coral, and The Cooper Temple Clause - See This Through And Leave).

Investigating a bit, I found a website where you can look NME's top 50 albums/singles for each year, going quite far back:

I looked up 2002, and it might be my FAVOURITE year for album releases (largely through nostalgia, I'll admit). The list included the 3 above, as well as some other personal favourites:
