Can't believe I just got around to listening to Shoes "Black Vinyl Shoes" for the first time.

It strikes me as being one of the earliest records I have come across that has that "Indie" sound to it (kitchen sink lyrics, jangly guitars, crunchy/lo fi production, overlayed mixing, vocals low in the mix etc.)

Any other missing link records you'd care to mention?
