So, September ends in a day or two, how was this month of releases for you? Favourites? Disappointments? What has been in heavy rotation on your stereo?

Gigs: I saw quite a lot of average stuff but the Ben Frost + Valgeir + Nico Muhly show last night was phenomenal and really looking forward to Stricken City + Bear Mask + Let's Buy Happiness tomorrow at B&G (who's coming to that?)

Records: For me I've not stopped listening to new Weezer, No Age and Les Savy Fav, and been spending yet more time with Emeralds and Blondes. Was a bit disappointed by the Interpol and Blonde Redhead albums, but pleasantly surprised by the Teengirl Fantasy record. Oh and Perfume Genius has been on a fair bit, tho obvs was out a little while ago. Truth me told, I've been a little lost in 10 year-ness, so not listened to as much of this month's releases so really curious what people have been loving.

October... can't wait to see HEALTH and No Age, I realise this sounds like a jag but I am honestly really excited, and wouldn't have booked them otherwise. Also can't wait to hear the new Walkmen album and to spend more time with Sufjan Stevens and Gold Panda records.
