Few MC’s have managed to live up to a widely acclaimed first album. Keith Murray’s “Most Beautiful Thing In The World” was an instant classic, given 4 Mics by The Source and widely regarded as one of the best Hip-Hop albums of the “Golden Era” & all time. Since it’s release he has bucked this trend and continued to be on the top of his game with the release of five more brilliant albums (Enigma, It’s A Beautiful Thing, He’s Keith Murray & Rapp-Murr-Phobia, Intellectual Violence).
Keith Murray first came to prominence through battling Big Daddy Kane which brought him to the attention of the Def Squad’s Eric Sermon, of which Keith was soon to become a member featuring on their cover of “Rappers Delight” and “El Nino” album. With such heavyweight support and production behind him there was little doubt that his phenomenal talents would get him noticed. On leaving Jive Records he signed for the legendary Def Jam and now at Koch he is on his grind as hard as ever making sure that his signature sound is still reaching the airwaves and parties that have supported his music from day one.
In support of a new album the Long Island born MC is hitting a London stage for the first time in years to display the smooth lyrical flow he is best known for. Having rhymed his way through every topic imaginable from tales of street hustle to falling in love, the diversity of his writing ability has seen him garner an army of fans throughout the world.
Joining him on stage are some of London’s most talented MC’s in the shape of the phenomenal Yungun, supported as ever by his DJ Mr Thing, and one of the emerging talents of 2010 Skandal, and keeping everything bumping as always is Spin Doctor. This is set to be another incredible night of true school Hip-Hop from The Doctor’s Orders.
