Not coming on to have a pop at promoters in the city - Capsule clearly do a great job, Birmingham Promoters have been putting on some decent stuff and various people seem to be laying on some genuinely leftfield acts at the Hare and Hounds, but why is it that the city seems to miss out of (for want of a better term) mid level indie and alternative acts? Crystal Castles, Titus Andronicus that sort of thing. It's not as if there aren't the venues or the audience surely?

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but the situation genuinely baffles me. Enlighten me please...
