Pitchfork's Top 200 Songs of the 90s
Strong showing the later it gets (obviously I guess). Pleasantly surprised to see the likes of Bittersweet Symphony, Everlong and Live Forever in the top 50. I still don't quite get 1979's acclaim though - to me Today whips that shit.
Anyway, it's one song per artist and the following have yet to be covered:
Radiohead
Beck
Weezer
Biggie
Dr Dre
Belle & Sebastian
Nirvana
Pavement
The usual suspects, then. I'm going for a top 5 of:
5/ Notorious BIG - Juicy
4/ Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
3/ Radiohead - Paranoid Android
2/ Dre & Snoop - Nuthin' But A G Thang
1/ Pavement - Gold Soundz
