I've realised I'm a bit out of touch. I've been feeling like there aren't many good rising UK rock bands at the moment. I'm talking about distinctive, original bands that really rock, that really get you excited about the potential of rock music. Bands that get me as excited as, say, Million Dead, Cable, Reuben, Jetplane Landing, Mclusky all used to.

Of course, there's still Future of the Left. But aside from them, who is there who's any good?

There are a few bands that I can think of, but there must be way more. So please add to this list (but please don't use this thread to plug your own band. Boring.)

Pulled Apart By Horses
Hold Your Horse Is
Dinosaur Pile-Up
Kill Chaos
Ocean Bottom Nightmare

(Those last two are a couple of Nottingham bands who I rate highly).
