I had a considerable failure last night. Got to about 9pm, I was just at home doing homely things when I remembered that the Sleigh Bells show at the Lexington was on the 9th. Bit late but I figured I would still be able to catch them, given that they have one album lasting 30 mins and therefore probably wouldn’t start until at least 10:15pm. After a bit of faffing about with the underground and taking an age to get down Pentonville Road I finally got there at about 10pm, discovered they’d already played for half an hour. Heard the last three songs, then turned around and went home.

Bleurgh. It was an enjoyable 10 minutes though, and since I didn’t have time to buy a drink, I saved £3. Always look on the bright side…
