Detroit techno/house appreciation
In the last couple of months I've been having a major resurgence in Detroit listening habits - this kinda came up in the Omar S thread, but I thought it'd be worth having a separate one for it. Basically, I've been totally rinsing the usual suspects lately (Atkins, May & Saunderson, Anthony 'Shake' Shakir, Omar S, Moodymann, Kyle Hall, Theo Parrish, Carl Craig), and continue to be blown away at the sheer brilliance of so much of Detroit's electronic music.
I thought I'd start this thread for discussion and recommendations - anyone got any other bits they'd like to recommend at all? It's only been the last year or so I've properly gotten into all the older Detroit stuff so it's highly likely I've missed a lot of great stuff out. Ditto any music from other places that carries a heavy Detroit influence (been listening to a lot of Kassem Mosse and October recently, who are two obvious ones).
Thought I'd start with these ones (some of which are fairly obvious, admittedly)...
Moodymann - Dem Young Sconies

Derrick May - The Dance

There's a pretty nice little article on XLR8R here as well, which is fairly recent-
