Field Day - Who is going and who will you be watching?
I am.
Mostly excited about:
• Archie Bronson Outfit - Been enjoying their heavy riffage for a few months now so look forward to seeing the live show.
• Factory Floor - Seeing as they blew Liars away earlier this year, I'm expecting them to be awesome in a little tent
• Caribou - Their new record gets better with every listen, just hope the main stage is allowed to crank it up a bit for them.
• The Fall - Seen them already this year but it'd take a brave person to miss out on these guys in the flesh.
• Steve Mason - Keep reading good things about his solo work so will meander over to his set I imagine.
• These New Puritans - Proper decent debut that, so will be intrigued if they've manage to meld it into a coherent live show.
• Phoenix vs Moderat - Not sure who'll win this battle, as i loved both 2009 albums. If the main stage is quiet, then I'll probably take on Moderat. Either way, they should be good.
• Matthew Herbert's One Club - His solo stuff is well good. No idea what this incarnation is?
• No Age - Not a huge fan of their last record but the odd song suggests they could be a great live band?
• Silver apples - why does this name ring a bell? Are they ATP regulars?
• Dam Funk - Got a mix by this guy and it's well decent.
• Gruff Rhys - It's Gruff, innit?
Other people you guys bang on about and who I will see if I get a chance:
Atlas Sound / Egyptian Hip Hop / Memory tapes (nice album cover folks) / Pantha Du Prince / Gold panda / Joker (dubstep dude, correct?) / Mount Kimbie / Esben & the witch (Mike Diver says they're good, so they probably are) / Mouse on Mars / Max Tundra
What about you? Any Spotify playlist on the go?
On paper, I think I'm more 'interested' in most of the bands here than who played at ATP Pavement and Glasto? Please may the weather be nice(ish)...
